What you are actually buying
Sildenafil, the drug in Viagra, in a film that dissolves on your tongue without water. Four strengths — 25, 50, 75 and 100 mg. Approved by the FDA in February 2026 and on the US market from March. It costs $8 a film through the manufacturer's direct programme, dispensed by a single specialty pharmacy.
The reason it belongs in this comparison is that a large slice of the market has been selling this dosage form for years without an approval. Sublingual troches and rapid-dissolve tablets from compounding pharmacies all pitch the same convenience, and none of them have been through a trial or carry a label. This is the version that has.

A phase 3 randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 475 men over 12 weeks, meeting its co-primary endpoints for improvement in sexual function against placebo. Men under 65 started at 50 mg, men 65 and over at 25 mg, with the dose adjustable up or down.
Nothing about that is remarkable for an approved drug. It is remarkable in this comparison, where the usual evidence base for a dissolvable ED product is a testimonial and a claim about absorption.

Coverage of the approval has repeated that the film works faster than a sildenafil tablet. The manufacturer's own pharmacokinetic data says peak plasma concentration arrives at a median of 80 minutes, with a range of 30 to 300 minutes in fasting conditions.
Plain sildenafil tablets peak at around 60 minutes. And Vybrique's labelled dosing window — take it 30 minutes to 4 hours before sex — is the same window Viagra has carried for a quarter of a century. On the published figures, this is not a faster drug.

$8 a film through IBSA Direct. Generic sildenafil tablets go for about $2 a pill from telehealth services and less than that from discount pharmacies, for the same drug at the same strengths.
Distribution runs through one specialty pharmacy, so there is no shopping around and no competing cash price. Retail quotes we found elsewhere were considerably worse than the direct programme, so if you are prescribed this, the manufacturer's own channel is the one to use.

This is a drug company, not a telehealth service. There is no intake form and no provider on the other end — you take a prescription to them. If you do not have a doctor for this, you need one of the services elsewhere in this comparison first, or your own GP. What to expect at that appointment.
The bottom line
If you have been eyeing a compounded troche because swallowing tablets is a problem, this is the same idea with a trial and a label behind it, and that is worth real money. Whether it is worth four times the price of a generic tablet depends on how much the format matters to you.
For most men the honest answer is that a $2 generic sildenafil tablet is the same medicine. How sildenafil compares with the alternative.
